Helicopter Landing Officer
Introduction
This training is designed to equip delegates with initial knowledge, to understand the skills required to perform the roles of an offshore Helicopter Landing Officer safely and effectively. This knowledge is also balanced with practical training directly guided by the instructor.
Helicopter Landing Officer course can pursue exciting careers in various sectors, including offshore oil and gas, search and rescue operations, and executive transport. As HLOs play a critical role in ensuring safety and efficiency, our graduates are in high demand in the aviation industry, both nationally and internationally.
Key Learning Outcomes and Skills
Upon completion of the Helicopter Landing Officer course, participants would comprehend and be able to appreciate the roles that a Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) plays in coordinating the Helideck crew.
● Implement emergency response plans during critical situations.
● Board and unload passengers, luggage, and freight from helicopters traveling to and from the rig safely and effectively.
● Utilize platforms and operations base helipads.
● Efficiently coordinate communication between air and ground personnel.
● Establish dominance in the distribution helicopter operations with a focus on safety.
Entry Requirements
Participants must meet the following criteria:
- Candidate must be 18 year or above
- Candidates must have acquired basic education
- Basic computer knowledge is required
- Experience in Aviation Industry will be an added advantage
